Pakistan's Broadcasters Association suspended membership of Geo News. This step was taken some days after PEMRA suspended the licence of Geo News for 15 days and imposed a fine of 10 million rupees. These steps were taken against Geo News after it blamed Lt Gen Zaheerul Islam for the attack on Hamid Mir.
